This exciting new development at the Bangor
Business School is now accepting applications for study commencing
in late September. The School has an international reputation
for research, and was awarded a 5 in the recent Research Assessment
Exercise. It has strong business links with the private
and public sectors, and has developed specialisms in the following
areas - entrepreneurship, financial studies, leisure &
tourism, countryside & heritage management, community
development. The MBA emphasises professional and vocational
development and understanding of higher level managerial skills
and concepts, and their application in practical situations.
Students will be taught and will learn through a balanced
curriculum, including theory, workshops, and case studies
taken from the world stage. The structure of the degree is
12 taught modules (9 compulsory & 3 options) accounting
for 120 credits and a dissertation weighted at 60 credits
involving original research on an aspect of management.

Modules currently available include Business Planning, Corporate
Risk Management, Financial Analysis, International Financial
Management, Events Management, Arts Administration,
Community Development.

Entry requires a good first degree, with
two years relevant work experience. Alternatively, possession
of a suitable professional qualification and practical experience
may also be accepted. If English is not your native language,
then satisfactory evidence of written and spoken English must
be provided, for example IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 560.
To apply for a Masters Programme you should complete a University
of Wales, Bangor Postgraduate application form. Together with
your application form for admission, two reference forms should
be sent to your two referees as instructed. You may submit
an application form at any time during the year, but for admission
in October, applications must be submitted before 31st August
of that year.
The completed Application Form and accompanying
documents should be returned to the Postgraduate Admissions
