Course Description:
This course will provide you with the methodologies, tools, principles and philosophies of successful project management.  You will learn about human resource management in projects and programmes as well as risk management and change management.  You will also develop a methodical approach to the management of the financial aspects of projects and programmes.
 
Course structure:
The course is modular - each student takes a combination of core and elective modules.  10 modules are studied and assessed in total.  Modules consist of nominally 40 hours directed tuition in the form of lectures, seminars, group work, presentations, case studies and e-learning.  This is covered in a full-emersion, intensive week.
Modules are assessed by Post Module Assignment - this is typically a further 40 -60 hours of work.
 
The taught modules account for 50% of the Master's degree.  A major individual research project, submitted in the form of a dissertation accounts for the other 50%.  This should take approximately 900 hours of study time. An oral examination is held upon completion.
