Course Description

The AECC’s BSc/MSc Chiropractic programme is a five-year programme that combines practical and theoretical learning and is accredited by the European Council on Chiropractic Education. Once completed, you will become a fully-qualified chiropractor, with the ability to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. If you have a strong interest in healthcare and medicine and wish to embark upon a flexible and rewarding career, this could be the programme for you.
 
You will spend the first three years of the programme studying for a BSc (Hons) Human Sciences, which covers the crucial understanding of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, biomechanics and chiropractic skills, using clinical case studies from the outset.
 
After the BSc (Hons) Human Sciences segment of the programme is completed successfully (in addition to the Clinic Entrance Qualifying Examination), you will progress to the Masters part of the programme, completed in years four and five. Largely based around clinical internship, you will have the opportunity to treat and manage patients in our very own clinic, situated on the grounds of the campus. This hands-on, patient-centered experience is an effective way of preparing you for professional life as a chiropractor once you have graduated. The programme content and structure are designed to give you clinical experience from the beginning, via exposure to case studies and patient observation. Once suitable knowledge, skills and confidence have been obtained throughout the first three years, you will be given the chance to demonstrate what you have learned by treating patients in a supervised manner. This is a highly beneficial and crucial part of the programme, ensuring that you gain the experience necessary to comfortably work within a clinic environment.
