Get a professional Qualification in a short 1 year courseThis programme is aimed at students who have completed a level 5 Diploma or HND, and would like to 'Top-Up' to a BA (Hons) degree. We aim this course at students who took a vocational route in higher education.
Validated by the University of Wales, Students will get the chance to tailor their studies through a choice of further specialisations in this one year programme, which are listed below. We have had a very successful intake in this course, which provides the added step to holding a professional qualification.
BA 18 - Global Management
International business is conducted with and through people from various cultural backgrounds. Cultural differences, if not understood, can be barriers to the success of your business ventures. Moreover, many management concepts, techniques and systems taught in Western business schools are based on Western cultural beliefs and values. These may not exist in other cultures and, if used inappropriately, can lead to cross-cultural confusion.
The goals of this course are to help you to understand the global management scene and to develop the intellectual understanding and the behavioural skills that will increase your effectiveness in dealing with problems that arise from the interaction of people from different cultures in a variety of work settings. A basic premise of the course is that understanding and skills can be generalized and transferred from one situation to another at least to some extent.
