Our MA in Marketing is a high-quality, one-year course featuring self-study, reading, and assignments.

Consumer brand management professionals will need to develop good working relationships with their service agencies, particularly those engaged with the creation of consumer advertising, consumer and trade promotions and media buying strategies. This elective introduces students to the analytical and creative aspects of Advertising and Promotion. It will cover the role of advertising and promotion in the marketing mix. This will involve activities above and below the line and how to put together a marketing plan. The elective will also examine the skills of media planning and buying. 

The programme in general is intended as a one-year programme. As required for Masters Programmes, the MA will have 1,800 hours of study in a variety of forms including self-study, reading and assignment preparation. 

The compulsory Core modules (each of 20 credits) are:

International Marketing Strategy
International Marketing
Consumer Brand Management
Business Research Methods
The Specialisation modules currently offered each count for 20 credits (the list will be expanded over time). A choice of two is required for the degree from:

International Cooperative Strategy
Marketing Research
Advertising and Promotion
Entrepreneurship
Please note that the number of Specialisations offered may vary year -to-year depending on factors such as level of student demand. The third part of the programme is a dissertation on a marketing topic. Its length shall not exceed 20,000 words. This will be allocated 60 credits, making 180 in total.
