Course Description
The 2-year MA programme in provides an excellent opportunity to obtain an interdisciplinary master’s degree in the Baltic Sea Region issues. The programme is oriented for both foreign and domestic students, whose academic interests or practical activities are closely related to the Baltic Sea Region. The Baltic Sea Region Studies educate the region experts who can provide expertise for academic institutions, as well to private companies and public organizations.The general module offers general overview of historical developments of the Baltic Sea Region and introduces political structures in the regional states. It also trains students skills in research methods. The specialization module offers thorough overview of political, international, economic and historical developments in the Baltic Sea Region. It also provides necessary theoretical concepts and their application in the area studies. The elective module enables students to deepen their knowledge and skills in more specific fields related to the Baltic Sea Region Studies, including environment, society, culture, identity, politics of memory etc.
The tuition fee for the programme is 3200 EUR/year.
