Course Summary

Course Description

The University of Chester Law School attempts to foster an open learning environment where staff are aware of their pastoral responsibilities as well as their academic ones. As a consequence of this, we attempt to provide additional support to students outside of the classroom. This has been recognised within the NSS survey and the University’s own survey of first-year students. Our LLB courses are Qualifying Law Degrees, having been approved by the Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority in England and Wales. They are also officially recognised in Northern Ireland but you must, in addition to the standard core modules, take Evidence as one of your Year 3 options. If you graduate with an LLB Degree, you will have completed the academic stage of training to qualify as a solicitor or barrister and can proceed directly to the vocational stage of training.
