Course Description
The nurse is a person with higher education, education - degree "Bachelor" and qualification "Nurse" trained and received a degree from the Medical University - Plovdiv.The training of nurses is four years full-time and conducted according to the curriculum with a total of 4,600 hours, corresponding to 240 credits under the Ordinance on Unified / CMD 248/22.11.2005 and amendment of 09.11.2010 and the Directive of the European Union to facilitate free movement of health professionals and the mutual recognition of their diplomas qualification.
The level of professional skills for the modern advances in medical science and practice, as well as continuous innovation and development. The profession of nurse requires dynamism, security and opportunities to work in conditions of emotional stress, intellectual tension with a variety of interpersonal contacts. The purpose of training nurses at a medical school is to prepare professionals who will be able to: To apply altruism in the profession; to put the interests of the patient above personal and respect their individuality and right to confidentiality; have the same attitude to patients regardless of disease, prognosis, age, sex, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, social status and ability to pay; patiently listen and support patients and their families; To carry out quality independent nursing activities related to patient care; properly perform prescribed by the physician and / or conducted joint operations; To provide emergency medical assistance; participate in development projects, conduct training and research in the field of health care; To collect and provide health information; To carry out health promotion, prevention and disease prevention; To work effectively as a partner in a multidisciplinary team.
