Course Description
Copywriting I - for Radio: Students learn the elements of writing effective radio station ad commercial copy.
Audio Production 1: Students are instructed in producing different types of radio commercials, utilizing music and sound effects to enhance commercials, and varied digital
editing techniques
Copywriting II for TV: Students are instructed in the successful development of commercial copy, with emphasis on the critical adjustments required when writing effective
commercial copy for television use.
Functions of Voice Over: Students learn how to record and edit the audio portion of the TV commercial into the final presentation.
Video Production I: Using camcorders, students videotape footage on location of commercial content. Students are taught non-linear editing and edit footage into a
completed video package.
Performance Techniques: Students participate in multiple opportunities to learn and perform improvisation for TV, as well as other skills for on-air talent.
