Course Summary

Course Description

This degree provides the opportunity to further inform Honours Computing graduates' expert knowledge of information systems and skills in up-to-date specialist areas of Computing such as Data Mining, Network Management and Web System Development. Students also acquire the professional skills required to work as a computing specialist.

A strong research focus provides a rich environment for advanced study and the training to continue to PhD study or industrially based research positions. With advanced skills in specialist areas of Computing Science the students will find these both useful and sought-after in the computing industry.

In the full-time mode you will have the opportunity to apply for an industrial placement. Applications will be reviewed and student interviews held to select suitable candidates for the placements available. The paid placement runs for up to 45 weeks and students are supported by staff within the company and a supervisor from the School of Computing and Digital Media.
