Course Description
This postgraduate course is designed to provide IT management and professional skills needed to take on senior roles in the IT industry including: leadership of strategic IT projects; and the broader role of management of corporate IT services and development.Students on the course will develop understanding of: managing IT projects; improving quality and reducing failure; financial management; people management; enterprise-scale systems architectures; large-scale systems development; IT strategy; governance; and technology awareness and adoption.
The aims of the course are to produce graduates who:
· can take on leading management roles in large-scale IT projects
· can manage IT projects effectively making best use of people
· can manage IT projects efficiently, on cost and on time
· can devise and direct the IT strategies of large organisations
