Course Description
The American University of Paris has designed a very successful intensive summer program in French language and culture. It carries academic credit but may also be taken by auditors at a special reduced tuition. In the short period of three weeks, participants are given maximum opportunity to practice spoken French, improve their pronunciation, review grammar and vocabulary, and get a firsthand introduction to French culture with experienced, native French teachers from the AUP faculty.The Program: French Immersion participants benefit from dynamic, innovative methods of language teaching including audio and video materials and real-life situations. There will be two field trips to cultural institutions in Paris such as museums, cinema or theater during the session and creative assignments and projects encouraging students to explore Paris, contribute to a complete immersion experience in French life, language, and culture.
