Kingston's Leadership and Management in Health course combines academic rigour with practical applications to create dynamic, forward-thinking health service managers who will excel in this field.

This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those in the health and social care services in the public, private and voluntary sectors in both the UK and internationally. It is suitable for practising health service managers who want to step up to the next level, and those who wish to move into this sector.

The programme is taught as a part-time course at Kingston Business School, Kingston University while there is a full-time version taught at Royal Holloway, University of London. Both are in partnership with St George's, University of London. These three centres of learning excellence are the principal members of the Institute of Leadership & Management in Health (ILMH).

There is an induction programme which will introduce you to the modules and the aims of the course, guidance on how to approach your studies, and how to fit this around your professional commitments.

What will you study?

For this course you will focus on how to manage people, budgets, information, marketing and quality, as well as how to navigate organisational change.

The programme starts with a personal assessment, using the cutting-edge Saville Consultancy WaveTM. This will produce a detailed report on your leadership styles and strengths and areas for development.
