Course Description
The LLM in Public International Law is designed for students with or without a law background. Providing specific knowledge of public international law, this programme is of use to students who wish to work in bodies relating to public international law such as non-governmental organisations.
Course Structure
The academic year is divided into two semesters. Four modules are studied each semester, and the dissertation in the field of Public International Law is completed over the summer.
The LLM in Public International Law has two compulsory modules in the first semester:
- Academic Writing for Postgraduates in Law
- General Principles of International Law
And one compulsory module in the second semester:
- Current Trends in International Law
The remaining five modules can be chosen from those on offer within Public International Law programme and one of the modules may be chosen from an alternative programme if you wish.
