All courses at Fontys International Business School have a duration of four years. Each year is made up of two semesters. The first course year is called the Foundation Year and offers room for orientation andselection. In this year students will gain general knowledge about economics and business. After the first year students enter the main phase, which lasts for three years. In the second course year the main phase consists of the acquisition of professional competences in the Student Company project. International groups of students start their own mini businesses. Students pick a product or a service and run real-life businesses until the end of the academic year.During the work placement in the third course year all students conduct a 5-month traineeship within a company anywhere in the world. After the work placement, students return to ‘the Learning Community’ for feedback and additional courses.
Students will end the study programme with a graduation assignment. Once again this takes place within the framework of a 5-month traineeship at a company. Students will write their Bachelor thesis under the supervision of a lecturer.
