Course Description

French, German or Spanish with French, German, Spanish or Italian

Part One:

Students may take between 40 and 60 credits in their major language and 40 in their minor language. Students are encouraged to take up to 40 credits outside their degree subject(s) in Part 1.

Part Two / Level Two:

Students take 30 credits of a compulsory language module in their chosen language plus at least 50 credits in additional language modules and/or content modules in each language. In their minor language, students take 30 credits of a compulsory language module plus 10 credits in an additional language module or content module in that language.

Part Two / Level Three:

Students take 30 credits of a compulsory language module in their chosen language plus at least 50 credits in additional language modules and/or content modules in each language. In their minor language, students take 30 credits of a compulsory language module plus 10 credits in an additional language module or content module in that language.

Note: The Major/Minor degree scheme generally requires that a student takes at least 160 credits in the Major subject and 60 credits in the Minor subject at part 2. Please note, however that if your Minor is a language, you should study at least 70 credits in part 2 (except with Law).
