Course Description
This Design Engineering and Manufacturing Management Masters takes graduates of engineering disciplines and equips them with specialist knowledge in design engineering and manufacturing management to fill the sought after vacancies in global markets.The course emphasises strategic and visionary design, innovative use and application of technology. You will explore the development of a commercially relevant design philosophy and the necessary knowledge in manufacturing management. The course will encourage you to investigate relevant and emerging design issues together with the challenges offered by commercial constraints and adopt a hands-on approach in tackling such tasks. You will be encouraged to examine business issues relating to processes and materials, CAE, validation and testing methods, sustainable design, CAD visualisation and simulation, rapid prototyping, and new technologies, amongst others and managing such operations in commercial settings.
