Course Description

With a student satisfaction rate of well over 90% for successive years, this course is designed for those who are interested in developing an understanding of how accounting enables an organisation to thrive within the context of the broader global business environment.  In addition to providing in depth accounting knowledge and skills, the course will help you develop highly desirable transferable skills such as advanced analytical thinking, problem solving and team work. During your first year you will learn how to use CIMA Sage accounting software and gain an official CIMA Sage* user’s certificate.  Featuring a very wide range of optional modules in year two and three, this course provides maximum flexibility enabling you to tailor your studies to support your own personal career ambitions.
With the same first year modules as the BA Accounting and Finance degree, if after your first year of study you decide that you would like to follow the pathway of becoming a qualified accountant, you may switch to that course as long as you have achieved good academic results. 

Due to the flexibility of this degree, our graduates go on to work in a wide range of public and private sector organisations. Others use it as a solid foundation for building their own successful enterprises or as the means of helping to take their family business to another level.
