Our BA Business Management (Human Resources) pathway is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to build a successful management career in a wide range of businesses, governmental and third sector organisations. In addition to studying the theory that underpins modern business principles, you will develop the practical, analytical and decision making skills which will allow you to build a successful management career.  The first year has been designed to provide you with a broad understanding of the key business functions, providing the foundation on which to build your specialist human resource management (HR) expertise.

Focusing on human resources (HR) principles from the second year; you will gain an understanding of the importance of the HR function to the success of any organisation. This includes learning about how organisations match the skills and abilities of their workforce to their business needs, including strategies for rewarding and engaging their staff. In addition, you will explore some of the legal and ethical challenges which HR professionals deal with on behalf of their organisations.
