Course Description
Our Supply Chain Management course explores the factors contributing to business success, particularly the role of management. We place emphasis on the application of models and techniques necessary to achieve superior performance in business organisations. You will develop your analysis and planning skills and further you ability to solve business and management problems.This course will give you a solid grounding in supply chain management theory and how to apply this theory to the management of supply chains in a wide range of sectors and environments. You will learn how to communicate persuasively, use ICT to improve your personal productivity and collect, analyse and critically interpret data.
During the first year of this course, you will study topics relating specifically to business and management; exploring organisational behaviour, operations management and the business environment.
During your second and third years, the focus of the course will switch to supply chain management and you will study modules including strategic management, operations management and procurement and sourcing.
You will also have the opportunity to undertake a research project, focusing on one key area of research, within a supply chain management context, building on the knowledge and skills you have gained throughout the rest of the course.
