Course Description

Consider how the future sustainable generation of electrical energy is dependent upon chemistry at the atomic level in batteries and fuel cells, which in turn rely on the designer chemistry of polymers and oxides. Consider how some polymers can be used as smart materials to mimic biological function. Think how computational chemistry is adding to our knowledge in the construction of designer molecules.
 
As a student on our Chemistry degree programme, you will work in a stimulating, exciting and fast-moving discipline, learning the fundamentals of and advances in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, and you will also use cutting-edge technology.
