Course Description
This Computer Information Systems is aimed at students who want to study a degree with an emphasis on its applications in business and industry. Mastery of a range of IT skills is extremely useful in many industries and this course will equip you with skills in the use of ICT as well as making you a sought after professional. During the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) degree course we will help you to get the European Computer Driving Licence qualification (ECDL). ECDL is now the most widely accepted standard for proficiency in the use of the main stream computer desktop applications.
This Computer Information Systems aims to teach you a solid core of computer science together with advanced knowledge of ICT and new media technologies. We will build your understanding of the fundamentals underpinning ICT and its applications in industry. You will be able to describe the operation of such software systems and apply the related principles into the implementation of properly engineered software.
