The American Chemical Society-accredited curriculum focuses on providing a solid foundation in chemistry, with the flexibility for students to explore their individual interests. Some students plan to apply to professional schools and pursue medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy or allied health professions. Others anticipate further study in the sciences, aimed toward research careers in chemistry or biochemistry. Others seek secondary education licensure, and become science teachers at the junior high and high school level.
