The curriculum focuses on exploring history both as a subject and a discipline, approached through the lens of critical thinking. Students investigate the historical narratives of various regions and periods, tracing the influences of the past on our current times. A wide-ranging section of courses, covering topics from the ancient world to the Mississippi Delta, provide students with diverse tools for thinking about history, and a comprehensive understanding of the past and present. Close reading, clear writing and critical thinking are emphasized.
