Course Description

The Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts degree offered by the Mississippi College Department of Art is an advanced graduate degree in the field of studio art, in either two-dimensional or three-dimensional areas.   The person who has earned this degree has reached a new level of maturity as an experienced and well-prepared professional artist.   This degree shows the world that the degree holder is capable of a high level of informed creative work and aesthetic thought, and also that the person is capable of taking their place in the educational world as a teacher who can advance from instructor to full professor.
