Business Administration BSc (Hons)

In the global economy that characterises the 21st century, it is important to understand how businesses are established, managed, sustained and grown. The programme will provide you with a solid foundation to pursue a career in business and management, or, importantly, help you establish your own venture on graduation, should you so wish. The programme does not just teach the theory and students are required to apply their learning to the ‘real’ world. The programme offers a broad understanding of Business and Management but permits you to specialise in a key area: Accounting and Finance, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management Information Systems or Marketing.

 

The objective of the programme is not just to provide you with knowledge, but to endow you with a set of skills that will enable you to see opportunities, solve problems and think critically and creatively in the dynamic global economy, whether as an entrepreneur or employee. The mission of the Department is to educate you, “how to think, not what to think” so you will be encouraged to learn by doing either independently or as a member of a small team.
