Course Description

Psychology is a comprehensive and dynamic field encompassing both scientific investigation and professional applications. It is oriented towards conceiving how people develop, think and learn, feel and interact with one another. It also intends to help solve problems that may arise in personal, group and organizational encounters.  The Department’s goal is to produce theoretical and applied research, offer high quality teaching that meets national and international academic standards, and address issues which are relevant to national and human development.

      The Department of Psychology of Izmir University has been established with the following fundamental goals: to offer undergraduate programs and future graduate programs in the field of psychology, to perform research activities in psychology, and to offer courses to students from other departments to broaden their understanding of psychology in general.
