Course Description
The discipline of international relations is a dynamic and innovative discipline in the age of knowledge where globalisation and regionalisation stand together. As transnational bonds deepen gradually, there has been an increasing demand for, and interest in, the teachings and graduates of the discipline of international relations. The objective of the Department of International Relations at Izmir University is to offer an education that will bring up individuals to meet this demand. The department places its focus primarily upon world civilisations’ and international system’s history; upon the economic, political and legal workings of the international system, the inter-relations of the states, groups and individuals that form the system and Turkey’s position and relations within it.
