Course Description
Humber's four-year Bachelor of Commerce – e-Business Marketing degree combines the most recent technology practices with traditional business subjects, preparing you to succeed in a highly competitive business environment. By graduation, students will have skills in:
- e-commerce, including the ability to develop e-business marketing/sales plans (product analysis, pricing strategies, distribution channels, promotional programs)
- employing project management and change management tools
- analyzing financial issues and how they affect pricing, cost, and profit
- integrating supply chain management operations/tactics/strategies
- streamlining business processes, using information and communication technology (ICT).
E-business includes the processes of buying, selling, transferring/exchanging products, services, information and funds via computer network. It also includes servicing customers, collaborating with business partners, and conducting electronic transactions within an organization.
This is a business degree, beginning with two years of marketing, accounting, operations, economics and law. In years three and four, you will work toward your specialization, with courses such as e-Business Information Systems and Technology, CRM and Data Mining, e-Marketing, and Database Systems. You will gain information and communications technology (ICT) skills in business programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) software, web development languages and software, e-commerce courses and quality control.
