Course Description
Humber's four-year Bachelor of Commerce – Human Resources (HR) Management degree program focuses on applied professional HR practices and solutions. Gain the HR skills employers are looking for, including expertise in:
- career development
- compensation, pension and benefit plans
- labour relations and employment law
- international HRM
- HR managerial accounting
- recruitment and selection
- performance management
- health and safety
- training and development
- strategic planning.
In the first two years of the program you will take business-related courses such as marketing, accounting, economics and law. In the next two years, you will complete your HR specialization. While at Humber, gain practical skills through applied projects, such as developing a business plan for the start-up of a new HR department and learn how to develop processes from the idea stage through to execution.
You will learn from experienced faculty and a network of industry professionals who will help you understand the latest challenges in HR. Between your third and fourth years, you will complete a paid placement, giving you valuable industry experience.
