Course Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies is an excellent choice of degree if you wish to pursue a career in justice-related contexts, both in Canada, and internationally. Students engage in the study of justice-related knowledge and practice from Canadian and global contexts. The degree program balances academic education with practical skills.
 

The BA curriculum develops language, quantitative, analytical and interpersonal skills through the study of a broad range of subjects. In Year 1, you study a common academic curriculum. In Year 2 you increasingly focusing on the four substantive areas - law, philosophy, social work and sociology.

Years 3 and 4 provide a comprehensive study of law, ethics, policy analysis, research and human services skills. Emphasis on collaboration, team building and leadership throughout ensures that students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to complete an applied research project at the end of the program.
