Course Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program examines language, media, culture and technology. This communications degree leaves graduates with the fundamental concepts, tools, processes and techniques to succeed in the field of communication.

The first two years of the program develop language, analytical and interpersonal skills through the study of a broad range of subjects. In Year 1, you study a common academic curriculum. In Year 2 you increasingly focus on the more specialized areas of media and cultural studies, psychology, and professional and social contexts.

In Year 3 and 4 the degree program balances the best of academic education, professional experience and practical skills. It combines a comprehensive overview of communications as an academic field. The capstone course is the production of a Professional Portfolio.
