Course Description
This Lancaster University validated honours degree seeks to develop the skills and knowledge acquired from the FdA Criminology & Criminal Justice.
The course is a one year programme that seeks to enhance the career prospects of people in the five strands of the Justice Sector: Policing andLaw Enforcement, Community Justice, Prosecutions and Custodial Care. The programme has official endorsementfrom Skills for Justice, which is the dedicated Sector Skills Council and Standards Setting Body for the Justice Sector.
This award was given to reflect the high level of involvementfrom employers and practitioners in the Justice Sector. The teaching on the course seeks to reflect the fast-changingnature of the Justice Sector and its innovative methods for inspiring learning have been commended by the Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics (C-SAP) which is the national Higher Education subject centre for the study of Criminology.
