Our commitment is “to produce skilled, creative communicators who can identify and assess business problems and design effective communication strategies to solve them.”

The Master of Business Communication (MBC) curriculum has been designed to honor both academic learning and professional practice. Research-based knowledge and practice-based methods co-exist comfortably in lectures and class discussions.

Instructors are drawn from the ranks of experienced University of St. Thomas full-time business faculty and selected from among outstanding practitioners in the Minneapolis/St. Paul business community. Their backgrounds support the diversity of disciplines, perspectives, and experiences that contribute to program uniqueness.

MBC learning is collaborative. Instructors offer background information and models which are explored and applied in class. Students contribute their own communication experiences from a broad range of industries. Insights are passed back and forth, and new knowledge often emerges.
