Course Description

This is a one year Honours level programme which provides a top-up to those students progressing from the Foundation Degree in Journalism.

This is an exciting new course which has been developed in consultation with experts and employers working in the field and will equip you with the necessary theoretical framework and practical skills needed for a successful career in journalism. With the help of highly experienced and supportive tutors and professionals you will be enabled to build an impressive portfolio of sought-after journalistic skills in addition to acquiring essential academic knowledge in areas such as law, ethics, public affairs and contemporary theoretical issues.

Opportunities will be provided for live experience in journalism, and students will complete an honours dissertation which will enable you to extend your knowledge and pursue your own interests in a specific area.
