Course Description

Our BA (Hons) Community Policing and Justice Management (Top up) is a new course and enables students who have successfully completed the FdA in Community Policing and Justice Management to top up their Foundation Degree to an Honours degree through an additional year of full-time study or two addition years of part-time study.

The top up year focuses on building high level skills and a wider knowledge of the criminal justice system in England and Wales. This entails looking at the justice system from the point of view of the Police, courts and other related agencies. You will also develop transferable skills that will equip you as a graduate in a range of careers other than the criminal justice system.

Those interested in the Police and the Criminal Justice system will find this a really interesting and theoretically taxing course. High level, recently, serving Police Officers contribute to the programme providing valuable insights. It is hoped that additional visiting lecturers will contribute to the programme too; these could be from diverse areas such as the prevention of terrorism, community safety or hate-crime.
