Course Summary

Course Description

Becker College has the potential to open doors for you here in Massachusetts and throughout the country with this diverse program in veterinary science.

The clinical and laboratory animal medicine concentration provides students with a broad view of veterinary medicine and offers the flexibility to enter the workforce in a variety of different animal settings. Emphasis is placed on building a solid base of knowledge on biomedical technologies, advanced diagnostic procedures, and nursing skills related to nutrition, animal husbandry, zoonotic diseases, and preventive medicine in traditional and non-traditional companion animals.

Experienced faculty engage with students as an active partner in the learning process through science-based course work, classroom, and hands-on practical experiences. Becker College is one of only a few programs nationwide that operates a working animal clinic on campus. The Lenfest Animal Health Center houses the College's veterinary clinic, which sees more than 1,000 patients annually. The center also provides teaching facilities for laboratory animals and laboratories for all required skills for animal care and veterinary technology students.
