Course Description

The MFA in Photography program is a low-residency program dedicated to the development of the distinctive voice of the photographer as a fine artist. Courses set a framework that allows students to develop a depth of knowledge about image-making in context with the art, science, and aesthetics of photography. From this foundation, students engage in intense dialog and critique, developing a culminating body of work that represents deeply personal reflections and intellectual considerations. The program stresses the exploration of processes and materials so that each student may articulate a creative and unique vision.
