Course Description

Effective communication is essential in all walks of life; from institutions such as industry, education or media, to everyday interactions such as teamwork and personal relationships. The study of Communication provides a unique opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and skills in a wide range of contexts.

BSc Hons Communication with Public Relations is a modular degree which combines the study of Communication with an applied focus on Public Relations. (For further information on how this works, please click the link What will I study? below).

All of our Communication courses combine theory and practice. You will gain a solid grounding in Communication theories and you will learn to apply this knowledge to real-life situations. In particular, you will also be able to link your understanding of Communication to the applied area of Public Relations. We have close links with local and international organisations, which provide specialist lecturers and offer students research and professional work experience. You will also have the opportunity to practise and improve your own communication skills in our purpose-built Communication Skills Centres.
