Course Description
The BA(Hons) Modern Languages degree offers a wide variety of languages, levels of entry, combinations and options within each language, which will allow you to tailor the course to your individual needs. Two languages are combined from Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish. Some languages can be studied from ab-inito level where no prior knowledge of the language is required, but two ab-initio languages should not be combined.The ability to communicate freely in European and Non-European languages, together with an understanding of cultural, political and economic contexts within foreign countries, is not only a personally enriching experience but these are also becoming indispensable tools in many professions today in both the UK and overseas.
