Our BEng(Hons) Computer Aided Engineering degree is long-running course is designed to provide the core knowledge and skills essential to a thorough understanding of engineering processes.

UCLan provides a Computer Aided Engineering course to enable graduates to work as engineers through the skilled application of their knowledge of engineering to the research, design, analysis, development, manufacture, application, and maintenance of high technology products, systems and services and to foster an appreciation of the role of the engineer in industrial wealth creation, and society as a whole.

Studying Computer Aided Engineering you will begin with a broad introduction which includes manufacturing engineering, electronics, mechanics, engineering drawing, and analytical methods. As you progress through the course your knowledge and skills will be further enhanced via modules in computer-aided design, manufacturing technology and engineering design.

Computer Aided Engineering enjoys modern computing facilities and maintains specialist laboratories in electronics, manufacturing and motor sports. The University's links with industry form the focus for learning and ensure continued relevance. The course has accreditation with the Institution of Engineering Designers and Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
