Course Summary

Course Description

Trained pilots with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Aviation not only have the potential to become outstanding captains, they can also assume management responsibilities for an airline or airport.

In partnership with Coastal Pacific Aviation, a renowned local flight training company, UFV offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (Aviation) degree to equip you with the flight skills and academic knowledge you need to succeed in the aviation industry.

At the end of your studies, you have a university degree, as well as private and commercial pilot licenses certified by Transport Canada, and supplemented by both night and multi-engine instrument ratings. In your fourth year, you have the option to specialize in either heavy jet transport operations or professional flight instruction.

As part of your Aviation degree, you enjoy over 200 hours of flight training in Cessna single engine and Piper multi-engine aircrafts as well as up to 175 hours of simulator training in a variety of simulators, including a Navajo and Beechcraft King Air.

In the classroom, you gain all the knowledge necessary to pass your Transport Canada examinations, cover human factors affecting pilot decision-making, and learn how to become a valuable member of an airline crew. Normally, this training would take up to six years to complete, but at UFV, you can do it in four. Upon completion, you are a fully-qualified professional pilot, ready to provide leadership both on the ground and in the air.
