Alexander Svahn is a second year student. He became
interested in the program after business study in US.

It was in English and he saw the possibility in speciali-
zing in analytical finance and also the possibility of a job
in an international environment.

1. What do you think of the program?

Ying: The combination of mathematics, economics, business and computer science is a very good one. It gives you a good knowledge and an advantage in analytical
finance compared to traditional financial programs. The program is stronger and goes deeper into the subjects studied.

Alexander: The program is a very good mix of mathematics, economics and business administration. It gives you capabilities for your working life. The program is both academic and practical with hands on exercises for instance with Matlab.

2. What do you think about the teaching?

Ying: The teaching method is quiet innovating compared to other programs. It makes you more active and creative. You make your own folder, which contains your own work. It is like creating your own textbook. The program also contains more seminars and work presentations than on the average. It is a brilliant idea.

Alexander: The teaching method, which implies continuous examination and a making of your own folder, is good. The group work makes you learn to co-operate. The content and the structure of the seminars and project are also good.

3. What do you expect from your education?

Ying: Personally I want to be an academic person and go as far as I can in this field. I want to teach and get a good earning power too. The program I think will make me more flexible in choosing occupations.

Alexander: I feel comfortable and prepared for practical working life, especially with the hands on exercises.
