AUCA 20th Anniversary The American University of Central Asia offers a dual degree program with Bard College, the #36 ranked liberal arts college in the United States. AUCA is an American-style liberal arts, English language university located in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. 

AUCA's 1200 students from around the world are committed to freedom of expression, critical inquiry, and academic honesty. With a student to faculty ratio of 12:1, AUCA is committed to student-centered learning, with students and professors working together to open new possibilities. 
Admission

Applying is easy:
  1. Students provide a TOEFL (minimum 54) or IELTS (minimum 5). 
  2. Students take the online AUCA Exam for mathematics, or provide SAT or ACT scores. 
  3. Students fill out the online application http://applyonline.auca.kg
  4. Students submit all documents by the admissions deadline. 
    1. Round 1: April 15, 2014 – 10% tuition discount for first year
    2. Round 2: July 15, 2014

Bishkek is a safe and comfortable city in Central Asia. There are direct flights to Istanbul, Dubai, Seoul, and Moscow. AUCA has a brand new international student dormitory with full-time security, and has full time nurses and psychologists on staff. The dormitory provides students with a vibrant and safe base from which to explore the mountains, alpine lakes, and horse culture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Student at AUCA95% of AUCA graduates are employed or accepted at graduate school within 3 months of graduation. AUCA students study abroad in over 25 countries, and AUCA provides over $100,000 every year in grant money for students to study abroad and attend international conferences. AUCA graduates can be found in the USA working for The World Bank, in England at the London School of Economics, and Australia at Google. They also work for international brands such as Deloitte, KPMG, Microsoft, McKinsey, Coca-Cola, UN, and many more. AUCA has a full time Career and Advising Center, WiFi, TV Studio, Video and Animation Computer Lab, Performance Center, Recording Studio, Prayer Room, and over 100,000 books and electronic volumes.

AUCA and Bard collaborate with students to develop leadership, critical thinking and civic engagement. AUCA's interdisciplinary curriculum gives students the breadth of knowledge they need to ask the right questions. Every AUCA student also completes a senior thesis, a year-long research project in the student's major field of study. AUCA's liberal arts curriculum prepares students for the challenges of a changing world, and gives them the practical skills they need to develop new solutions. 

After successfully completing 4 years of study, AUCA students receive both a Bard diploma and an AUCA diploma. This means that your degree will be accepted around the world, without question.

Students having fun at the American University of Central Asia Being a part of the AUCA community is unlike anything else in Central Asia. From the first days of freshman orientation AUCA students form bonds that last the rest of their lives. AUCA traditions such as Diversity Week, Spirit Week, and Initiation bring students together to celebrate being young, creative, and engaged. AUCA has dozens of clubs, events, public lectures, film screenings, and photo exhibitions throughout the year. 
Tuition and Living Expenses

Tuition for 2013-14 is $5,400. This includes all books and materials. For housing and food, AUCA recommends an additional budget of $3,500 per year.
