Overview
Bournemouth University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses along with research through six academic schools in the areas of business and management, applied sciences, design, engineering and computing, health & social care, media and tourism, events, hospitality & leisure.Situated on the south coast of England, Bournemouth enjoys fantastic scenery and some of the country's mildest weather. BU provides a great working and studying environment, with a positive and dynamic atmosphere.
We have over 100 years of history of education and our roots can be traced back to the early 1900s. We gained university status in 1992 and we are now home to 17,000 students with 1,800 of those being international students from 130 countries.

Less than two hours from London by train, Bournemouth is on the South coast of England and access to major airports is very convenient.Bournemouth, in the county of Dorset, is a long-established tourist destination and attracts visitors from all over the UK and beyond.
Famous for its 12km of sandy beaches, beautiful parks and gardens and a cosmopolitan atmosphere, Bournemouth blends a traditional British seaside resort with a busy and thriving town.
Bournemouth's neighbouring town is Poole which boasts Europe's largest natural harbour. Poole's quayside area dates back nearly 1,000 years to Roman times and is now home to many bars, cafes and restaurants.
As one of the UK’s most popular tourism resorts, enjoying some of the best weather in the country and with a wealth of things to see and do, you can be sure of an enjoyable time here. We guarantee a place in university allocated accommodation for all new international students starting courses in either September or January who apply before the deadline.
The university has Halls of Residence in the town centres of Bournemouth and Poole and prices range from £95 to £120 per week (inclusive of bills). BU also manages private local housing on behalf of landlords, which currently houses over 700 students.

Admissions
UndergraduateAll undergraduate applications to UK universities have to be made through UCAS (University & Colleges Admissions Service).

Postgraduate
Applications for all postgraduate courses may be submitted and tracked electronically by you via BU’s Online Applications system.
BU has an International Admissions Team that is dedicated to ensuring your application is dealt with efficiently and quickly.

Fees and Scholarships
Our tuition fees vary depending on the course you choose to study and you can find this information on our website using the left-hand menu on each course page. However, the below information is a general guide to our course fees:
Undergraduate courses
Non-EU students
Tuition fees range from £9,500 to £12,000 depending on the type of course being studied and the type of facilities and equipment used. Where relevant, the tuition fee for the placement year of a sandwich degree course is set at £1,500 (plus inflation increase).
EU students
The tuition fee for full-time EU students is £8,200 per year for most of our courses, with a few of our flagship courses charging £9,000. Full-time EU students starting an undergraduate degree course may defer payment of tuition fees by taking out a tuition fee loan, which will be paid direct to the University on your behalf.
Postgraduate courses
Non-EU students
Tuition fees range from £11,000 to £15,000 depending on the type of course being studied and the type of facilities and equipment used.
EU students
Tuition fees range from £5,000 to £15,000 depending on the type of course being studied and the type of facilities and equipment used.

Scholarships
BU offers a range of scholarships to international students to ensure that we attract the best, self-motivated students, who are passionate about their studies.
The value of the scholarship ranges from £1,000 to full fee scholarships covering undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees. There are also dedicated BU international partnership scholarships for international students from BU’s partner universities overseas.
