Drew University, a U.S. Top 100 liberal arts university, is located on a beautiful, safe 186-acre campus, just 29 miles west of New York City. Founded in 1867, the school’s undergraduate college has just 1,700 students. This medium size allows students to work closely with their professors and advisers to customize their education to their own particular goals.

Where You Learn
Drew is a beautiful place to call home. Nicknamed “the Forest,” its campus is located in the safe and welcoming suburbs of northern New Jersey. Everything you need to live and learn at college is right on campus.

From Drew’s gates, it’s just a short walk to small-town, tree-lined Madison. Shops, services and trendy restaurants abound, and from the historic station on Kings Road you can catch an express train to New York City or travel to Newark Liberty International Airport. You won’t need a car to get around—a rare thing in the United States.

Drew takes advantage of it’s proximity to New York by using the city as a classroom, offering semester-long programs at the United Nations, on Wall Street or in contemporary art. Many students also take advantage of New York’s many cultural and social opportunities, or pursue internships there in finance, media, entertainment and a range of other fields.

How You Learn
Drew students benefit from the university’s commitment to teaching. All of its faculty teach undergraduates and none of its courses are taught by teaching assistants. The university’s small size means faculty are available to mentor, advise, debate, challenge and inspire. Drew faculty care about each student and their learning.
