Student at OICBFor more than 25 years, the Ohio & Illinois Centers for Broadcasting have trained students in a wide range of skills applicable to the broadcasting industry using fully-equipped radio and TV studios. All instructors are professionals in the broadcasting industry, including local on-air radio and TV personalities. Students are trained in all aspects of broadcasting, qualifying them for entry-level positions in a wide variety of media-related careers.

Colorado and Illinois offer students a variety of activities, night life, and stunning vistas of the Rocky Mountains and Lake Michigan.

Student Program
  • One year program (900 clock hours)
  • Instruction in broadcasting
  • Radio & TV production
  • On-air talent instruction
  • Projects include: news gathering, news reporting, writing, announcing, TV commercials, music videos, website management, and more
  • On-site TV studios and internet radio stations available for hands-on training
  • Internships at local stations

GRADUATES WILL HAVE AND BE PROFICIENT
IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:


  • Use & Utilization of:
    HD Panasonic AG-HM 150, HD JVC  portable video SD recordable cameras, ADOBE AUDITION, FINAL CUT PRO, NEWTEK TRICASTER
  • Understanding of Word Press, Internet Radio, TV newscast, music videos  & game show production
  • On-Air & Behind the Scenes Skills for TV, Radio and Internet
  • Have Audio and Video Demos
  • Access to Career Development Services
