David Moore MChem, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry
“I have recently returned to California after a spell setting up a Swiss regional office for an NGO. I was managing applied research, developing the links between resource scarcity and economic and development outcomes on behalf of governments all over the world. With an interest in medical technology it made sense to split my studies between the schools of Chemistry and Biological Sciences. The opportunity to spend a year in North America – now my home - and excellent teaching in independent research have led me to a fulfilling career in analytical chemistry.”

“I feel privileged to be studying on one of the most forward thinking medical courses in the UK.I was thrown straight into the deep end, immersed in all things medical from my first week –and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’ve spent my secondary care placement assisting in surgeries, shadowing consultants and consulting patients undergoing treatment.”

Edward Johnson, BSc Business Information Systems
“I am the International Programme Manager at Brandbank, a company who supply digital content to major international retailers. The role requires technical knowledge and business skills, all disciplines covered on my university degree. The modules that made up my course linked well to build up the skill set that I needed. The direct industry experience of my lecturers and the advice of the Careers Centre were very helpful in choosing a potential career path and getting my first role with a project management consultancy.
Sir Paul Nurse, PhD Biology and 2011 Nobel Prize Winner
