Intensive English Program
Chestnut Hill College Campus The Intensive English Program prepares students to continue in an academic program at either the University of Dayton or another university of their choice. Through a combination of individual attention, intense English language study and immersion in the American culture, students are equipped with the skills needed to be successful in an academic program on an American campus. Students have the option of applying:
  • To only the Intensive English Program.
  • For conditional admission to both the Intensive English Program and an academic program at the University of Dayton.
  • If you are interested in applying to an academic program at the University of Dayton but require English study, you should apply for conditional admission.
  • Students applying for conditional admission will be considered for admission based on their academic achievements. Students are admitted conditionally if they have the required academic results but do not have the required TOEFL score. These students will attend the University of Dayton's Intensive English Program on a full-time basis as a condition of their admission. After successfully completing the Intensive English Program or achieving the required TOEFL score (see below), the student will be fully admitted to a University of Dayton undergraduate or graduate program.
Application for Admission and Scholarships
Scholarships are available for international students entering undergraduate programs. After students have completed the Intensive English Program, they are eligible for scholarships.  To apply for admission and scholarship, international students may complete either the Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship or the Common Application.
