Our Rich History and Campus
Royal Roads University's campus is a jewel of Canada's west coast. It rests on 227 hectares of ocean-side parkland, with a 100 year-old castle at its centre, and is considered one of the most beautiful campuses in North America. Hatley Castle and our grounds have been designated a National Heritage Site, and our formal gardens are known internationally. We are both a university and a guardian of a precious legacy.
We believe the beauty of the west coast helps our students achieve their goals. We encourage them to enjoy our safe, serene campus to inspire their personal excellence. Hatley Castle, and other on-campus buildings, provide many student services that include a comprehensive library, recreation centre, career services, counselling support, and financial aid and awards.
